WHAT: Cub Scout Summer Day Camp. Swimming, BB and Archery Range, Games, Fishing, Hiking,  and much, much more!

WHEN: June 11-15. Check-in begins at 8:15am and camp starts with a morning flag ceremony at 8:30am sharp. Camp closes each day at 4:00pm. Camp staff is not available until 8:15am so please do not arrive before that time. All units must check in at registration table and complete attendance roster each day. All Scouts must be picked up by 4:00 pm.

WHERE:  Park Springs Christian Camp, 600 Park Springs Lake Road, Providence NC  27315.

COST:  Early Bird registration fee is $85 if paid by April 30. Regular registration fee is $100 if paid between May 1 and May 25. No registration is accepted after May 25. Registration fee includes all  materials, t-shirt, patch, camp facilities, and daily lunch. Financial assistance is available for those in need. Contact your Cubmaster or the Day Camp Director for information.

WHO:  All Registered Cub Scouts (Tiger thru AOL—grade scout is entering school in Fall 2018) Not a Cub Scout? Go to to find a Pack near you and get signed up. 

LEADERS AND PARENT GUIDES: Each pack sending Cubs to camp MUST send two-deep leadership for their pack and have at least 1 adult per 5 Cub Scouts; Tiger Cubs must have an adult for each Tiger Cub every day of camp. ALL adults and parents must complete the Youth Protection Training module online at Adults who want to eat lunch at camp may pay $5 at check-in each morning. Leaders and Parent Guides understand that they will be outside and walking in the heat, humidity, and other weather conditions that *may* be physically demanding. Please consider this when deciding to attend Cherokee Cub Scout Day Camp. The Leader’s Guide will be available in the spring with more details.

HEALTH FORMS: A current BSA Annual Health and Medical Form Parts A & B is required with registration. The 2018 Health Form is found online at This is the ONLY version of the Health and Medical Form that will be accepted. These forms must be submitted with your registration. Anyone without a current Health Form will not be allowed to remain in camp. 

JUNIOR CAMPERS: Junior Campers are the sisters or younger brothers (not yet eligible to be members of BSA) of campers whose parents are serving as camp staff or Leader/Parent Guides. This is NOT a baby-sitting service - a parent must remain on camp property at all times. There is a daily fee of $5 per Junior Camper which includes lunch. Junior Campers  enjoy games, pool time, and other fun activities while at camp. They will swim at a designated time, in the shallow end only, with signed swim agreement. Junior Campers must be potty trained.

YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING: ALL adults and parents attending camp for at least one day must have completed the Youth Protection training module online within the last two years (i.e., certificate does not expire before June 15, 2018) before attending camp with Cub Scouts. TIGER, WOLVES, AND BEARS:  Tigers, Wolves, and Bears will enjoy theme-related games, nature lessons all based on the new Cub Scout program. They will also visit the pool and shooting range each day.

WEBELOS: Webelos will enjoy Webelos-specific activities based on the new Cub Scout program each morning. In the afternoons, they will swim, visit the shooting range, complete a service project, and participate in a few *Webelos only* activities.

Arrow of Light: Arrow of Light Scouts will enjoy AOL-specific activities based on the new Cub Scout program each morning. In the afternoons, they will swim, visit the shooting range, complete a service project, and participate in a few *Arrow of Light only* activities.

Please be advised refunds on council, district, or OA events and activities will be made only if an adult calls 10 days before the event to the Council Office to cancel that registration. The only exception to the policy will be the case of illness, accident and/or death in the family and that cancellation must be called in the day before the event. Refunds cannot be transferred to future events or functions. Please note, a 5% fee will be charged on all refunds granted to cover cost of processing
