WHAT: Cub Scout Summer Day Camp, BB and Archery Ranges, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts (perhaps some Math, sshhhh), and games.  Plus much more!!!

WHEN: June 25-29. Check in begins at 8:00 a.m., “Kiss and Go” line ends at 8:40, late arrivals must be walked up and checked in at headquarters, flag ceremony begins at 8:45.  Evening car pool line will begin moving at 4:05 and should be done by 4:35.

WHERE:  Sumner Civitan Park, 2325 Concord Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 (off Old Randleman Road)

COST & DEADLINE:  Early Bird registration fee is $80 if paid by May 4. Regular registration fee is $85 if paid between May 5 and June 15. No registration is accepted after June 15. Registration fee includes all crafts, materials,     t-shirt, patch, and camp facilities. Financial assistance is available for those in need. Contact the Day Camp Director for information. Registration can be mailed or completed online www.bsaonsc.org (Select Camping then select Cub Day Camp. Once there, select Guilford District to take you to the registration page.)

DISCOUNT FOR 5 DAY VOLUNTEERS:  We always need adult leaders!  Any adult that volunteers to help in a program area or help within a den will receive a voucher # giving them a $25 discount off your Scout’s camp fee!  Contact us at guilfordcs.daycamp@gmail.com to receive this code. Place voucher # on registration page.

WHO:  All Registered Cub Scouts, having just completed Kindergarten thru 5th grade.  Not a Cub Scout?  Go to www.BeAScout.org to find a Pack near you and get signed up.  Or contact Guilford District Executive, John McPhail or District Program Assistant, Mary Kate Farley 336.378.9166. Boy Scouts volunteers age 11-17 can attend as a Den Chief but must attend a special training session Saturday June 23rd from 9am-noon.  Email camp staff for more details! 

LEADERS AND PARENT GUIDES:  Each pack sending Cubs to camp MUST send leadership for their pack and have at least 1 adult per 5 Cub Scouts; Tiger Cubs must have an adult for each Tiger Cub every day of camp.  ALL leaders and Parent Guides must complete the Youth Protection Training module online at www.my.scouting.org. Leaders and Parent Guides understand that they will be outside and walking in the heat, humidity, and other weather conditions that *may* be physically demanding. Please consider this when deciding to attend Guilford Cub Scout Day Camp. The Leader’s Guide will be available in the spring with more details.

HEALTH FORMS: A current BSA Annual Health and Medical Form Parts A & B is required on Monday morning as camper is dropped off.  This can be emailed to us or brought to the Council office before June 22nd.. Anyone without a current Health Form will not be allowed to remain at camp. 2018 Health Form is found online at http://www.bsaonsc.org/forms.html

JUNIOR CAMPERS:  Junior Campers are the sisters or younger brothers (not yet eligible to be members of BSA) of campers whose parents are serving as camp staff or leader/Parent Guides. Parent must remain on camp property at all times. There is a charge of $25 per Junior Camper includes tee shirt, patch & supplies.  Any sibling entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2018 will be considered a Junior Camper . Junior Campers will not be attending all areas around the camp but will have their own activities.

YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING: 

ALL leaders and Parent Guides volunteering at camp must have completed the Youth Protection training module online within the last two years (i.e., certificate does not expire before June 30, 2018) and must attend a Staff Training, June 23rd 9 AM – 11:30 AM. Please help us protect our Scouts.

Parents and Families are invited to Friday Family Fun Day:

10AM-11AM OMC (this includes time for instructions, game, rinse off, for registered participants only)
11-2 Lunch, Raingutter Regatta, skits 
2-4 Variety of mini stations (think ..minute to win it games, STEM stations)
3-5 MOVIE and popcorn
Mini Games will be Carnival Style, Cubs will move from area to area with their den OR with their family.  Cubs and families are free to stay for mini games after lunch or head home, just sign out with den leaders

 

AFTER CAMP CARE (ACC): For those who find it impractical to pick up your Scouts by 4:30 each day, we offer After Camp Care for an extra $10/week.  We will take your Scouts inside to do an extra craft or watch a science related video.  All ACC Scouts must be picked up by 5:15

OLD NORTH STATE COUNCIL REFUND POLICY

Please be advised refunds on council, district, or OA events and activities will be made only if an adult calls 10 days before the event to the Council Office to cancel that registration. The only exception to the policy will be the case of illness, accident and/or death in the family and that cancellation must be called in the day before the event. Refunds cannot be transferred to future events or functions. Please note, a 5% fee will be charged on all refunds granted to cover cost of processing
