WHO MAY ATTEND: Any registered Adult BSA Leader. Candidates must attend the Firearm BASIC Shooting course as a PRE-REQUISITE to registration in any future Instructor Certification course.
NRA PRE-QUALIFICATIONS: NONE; Basic Shooting Course Curriculum is offered May 4 or 5, 2019 with potential follow-on 2-day Instructor Course Certifications being offered May 17-18, 2019. Do not bring personal firearms to the classroom. The curriculum will use camp equipment.

COURSE OFFERING:

1. NRA Basic RIFLE Shooting Course- SATURDAY Saturday 7:30 check-in; Classroom Instruction and Rifle Range Qualification Short Description: This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. This class is required before you may take Basic Instructor Trainer for rifles (BIT).

2. NRA Basic SHOTGUN Shooting Course- SUNDAY Sunday 7:30 check-in; Classroom Instruction and Shotgun Range Qualification Short Description: This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.This class is required before you may take Basic Instructor Trainer for shotgun (BIT).

COST: (See registration form for specifics)
Price includes ammunition, firearm use and classroom materials. These prices are roughly half of the average being charged by public instructors throughout the region for NRA based classes.
Lunch and personal snacks should be planned as a “working-lunch” style, per your preferences.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: (Registration close date: April 19 – Min 4 students, Max 12 Students)
The registration deadline is established to allow us ample time for supplies to arrive. Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding the course. Payment is due with registration. Training Guide will be sent via email to all registered participants when the student minimum is met. Training Guide will include course syllabus, weekend schedule, etc.

PACK a WORKING LUNCH or snacks based on your personal preference. Coffee and drinks with be provided in the headquarters building.
