Summer Twilight Camp is an excellent opportunity for your Scout to spend some special time together with other scouts in our District. It’s a time to get to know each other and make new friends through outdoor activities that Scouting  provides. Share summer fun with other scouts as we celebrate the summer and have a lot of fun with this years theme activities.

Who can Come: This year’s camp is open to all rising Tigers (will be in 1st grade Aug 2019 through Arrow of Light Scouts. Unfortunately rising Lions (Kindergarten Aug 2019) are not allowed to attend Twilight Camp. Adults that volunteer may bring siblings to our Cubby program in the ages of 2—6 years old (they must be potty trained). All rising Tigers MUST have an adult present with them at camp.

When &Where: This year’s event will be June 17—19, 2019 located at Providence Wesleyan Church (1505 E. Fairfield Rd, High Point, NC 27263). Parents are welcome to drop off scouts at 5:15pm and they must be picked up promptly at 8:30pm.

Check-In/pick-up:  Scouts must be checked-in at the event each night. We will send out a parent’s information packet 1—2 weeks before camp that will have a Dashboard name tag that will need to be printed and present on the dash of each car in order to pick up your scout. Please provide this tag to anybody authorized to pick up your scout from camp. If the person picking up your scout does not have a dashboard tag, they will need proper identification that matches the names authorized on the camper release form that will also be provided.

Meals: Participants and volunteers are encouraged to eat before they arrive. There will not be a meal served during camp.

Activities: Throughout the evening, Scouts and parents will participate in BBs, archery, sand cleaning, water cleaning, beach ball tower, sun catchers, shark fin hats and sponge relays. Planning for these activities will follow the mission of the BSA and ensure the scouts have a great time while they are there. If for any reason you do not want your scout to participate in any activity, please ensure to provide these instructions to the Camp Director during check-in. All scouts will be schedule to participate in all events unless otherwise directed by the parents.
