WHAT: Cub Scout Summer Day Camp, BB and Archery Ranges, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts (perhaps some Math, sshhhh), and games.  Plus much more!!!

WHEN: June 26-30. Check in begins at 8:00 a.m., “Kiss and Go” line ends at 8:40, late arrivals must be walked up and checked in at headquarters, flag ceremony begins at 8:45 sharp.  Evening car pool line will begin moving at 4:05 and should be done by 4:35.

WHERE:  Sumner Civitan Park, 2325 Concord Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 (off Old Randleman Road)

COST:  Early Bird registration fee is $80 if paid by May 2. Regular registration fee is $85 if paid between May 3 and June 16. No registration is accepted after June 16. Registration fee includes all crafts, materials, t-shirt, patch, and camp facilities. Financial assistance is available for those in need. Contact the Day Camp Director for information.

DISCOUNT FOR 5 DAY VOLUNTEERS:  We always need adult leaders!  Any adult that volunteers to help in a program area or help within a den will receive a voucher # giving them a $25 discount off your Scout’s camp fee!  Contact us at guilfordcs.daycamp@gmail.com.

T SHIRTS: One T Shirt per Cub registration is included. One T Shirt per Junior Camper is included. T Shirts are included for volunteers that are working for two or more days.

WHO:  All Registered Cub Scouts.  Not a Cub Scout?  Go to www.BeAScout.org to find a Pack near you and get signed up.  Or contact Guilford District Director, Matt Lanouette 336.378.9166. Boy Scouts volunteers age 11-17 can attend as a Den Chief but must attend a special training session.  Email camp staff for more details!

LEADERS AND PARENT GUIDES:  Each pack sending Cubs to camp MUST send two-deep leadership for their pack and have at least 1 adult per 5 Cub Scouts; Tiger Cubs must have an adult for each Tiger Cub every day of camp.  ALL leaders and Parent Guides must complete the Youth Protection Training module online at www.my.scouting.org. Leaders and Parent Guides understand that they will be outside and walking in the heat, humidity, and other weather conditions that *may* be physically demanding. Please consider this when deciding to attend Guilford Cub Scout Day Camp. The Leader’s Guide will be available in the spring with more details.

JUNIOR CAMPERS:  Junior Campers are the sisters or younger brothers (not yet eligible to be members of BSA) of campers whose parents are serving as camp staff or leader/Parent Guides. This is NOT a baby-sitting service - a parent must remain on camp property at all times. There is a weekly charge of $25 per Junior Camper which will include a tee shirt and camp patch as well as materials for the games, crafts and other fun activities while at camp.

AFTER CAMP CARE (ACC): For those who find it impractical to pick up your Scouts by 4:30 each day, we offer After Camp Care for an extra $10/week.  We will take your Scouts inside to do an extra craft or watch a science related video.  All ACC Scouts must be picked up by 5:15.

HEALTH FORMS: A current BSA Annual Health and Medical Form Parts A & B is required with registration. The 2017 Health Form is found online at http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf. This is the ONLY version of the Health Form that will be accepted. These forms must be submitted with your registration. Anyone without a current Health Form will not be allowed to remain at camp.

YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING: 

ALL leaders and Parent Guides attending camp for at least one day must have completed the Youth Protection training module online within the last two years (i.e., certificate does not expire before June 30, 2017) before attending camp with Cub Scouts. TIGERS, WOLVES, BEARS, Webelos and Arrow of Light: All will enjoy theme-related games, crafts, nature lessons and skills based on the new Cub Scout program.

FUN FAMILY FRIDAYWe cordially invite all parents to come out for the flag ceremony at 9:00, watch a crazy game called “Organized Mass Chaos” at 10:00, enjoy a hotdog lunch (free for all Scouts, volunteers, and guests) around 11:30, visit our special guests and pick up any crafts or items from the week. Camp wraps up around 2:00 on Friday (all Scouts are welcome to stay until regular pick up but will be on an altered schedule (shooting ranges will not be open on Friday).

Cancellation Policy
OLD NORTH STATE COUNCIL REFUND POLICY Please be advised refunds on council, district, or OA events and activities will be made only if an adult calls 10 days before the event to the Council Office to cancel that registration. The only exception to the policy will be the case of illness, accident and/or death in the family and that cancellation must be called in the day before the event. Refunds cannot be transferred to future events or functions. Please note, a 5% fee will be charged on all refunds granted to cover cost of processing.
