Alamance Cub Scout Twilight Camp

WHAT: Cub Scout Summer Twilight Camp. Swimming, BB and Archery Range, Crafts, Games, Hiking, and much, much more!

WHEN: June 14-16. Check-in begins at 5:30 pm and camp starts with a flag ceremony. Camp closes each day at 8:30 pm. Staff is not available until 5:30 pm so please do not arrive before that time. All units must check in at registration table and complete attendance roster each day. All Scouts must be picked up by 8:30 pm.

WHERE:  Bill Cooke Park, 1010 Townbranch Rd. Graham, NC, 27215

COST:  Early Bird registration fee is $30 if paid by May 5. Regular registration fee is $45 if paid between May 6 and June 2. No registration is accepted after June 2. Registration fee includes all crafts, materials, t-shirt, patch, camp facilities, and daily snack. Financial assistance is available for those in need. Contact the Twilight Camp Director for information.

WHO:  All Registered Cub Scouts.  Not a Cub Scout? Go to www.BeAScout.org to find a pack near you and get signed up. Or contact Alamance District Executive, Jim Allegretto at 336.378.9166.

LEADERS AND PARENT GUIDES:  Each pack sending Cubs to camp MUST send two-deep leadership for their pack and have at least 1 adult per 5 Cub Scouts; Tiger Cubs must have an adult for each Tiger Cub every day of camp. ALL adults and parents must complete the Youth Protection Training module online at www.my.scouting.org. Leaders and Parent Guides understand that they will be outside and walking in the heat, humidity, and other weather conditions that *may* be physically demanding. Please consider this when deciding to attend Alamance Cub Scout Twilight Camp. The Leader’s Guide will be available in the Spring with more details.

HEALTH FORMS: A current BSA Annual Health and Medical Form Parts A & B is required with registration. The 2017 Health Form is found online at

http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf. This is the ONLY version of the Health and Medical Form that will be accepted. These forms must be submitted with your registration. Anyone without a current Health Form will not be allowed to remain in camp.           

YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING: 

ALL adults and parents attending camp for at least one day must have completed the Youth Protection training module online within the last two years (i.e., certificate does not expire before June 16, 2017) before attending camp with Cub Scouts. To complete or renew the Youth Protection training module, go to  www.my.scouting.org. Please help us protect our Scouts.

TIGER, WOLVES, AND BEARS:  Tigers, Wolves, and Bears will enjoy theme-related games, crafts, nature lessons all based on the new Cub Scout program. They will visit the shooting ranges each day.

WEBELOS: Webelos will enjoy STEM-based activities based on the new Cub Scout program. In the afternoons, they will visit the shooting range, complete a service project, and participate in a few *Webelos only* activities.

Arrow of Light:  Arrow of Light Scouts will enjoy STEM-based activities based on the new Cub Scout program and they will visit the shooting range, complete a service project, and participate in a few *Arrow of Light only* activities.

Early Discount
Before 5/6/2017 a discount of $15.00 will apply to all Scout Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
OLD NORTH STATE COUNCIL REFUND POLICY Please be advised refunds on council, district, or OA events and activities will be made only if an adult calls 10 days before the event to the Council Office to cancel that registration. The only exception to the policy will be the case of illness, accident and/or death in the family and that cancellation must be called in the day before the event. Refunds cannot be transferred to future events or functions. Please note, a 5% fee will be charged on all refunds granted to cover cost of processing.
