WHERE: Saturday:  ONS Council Royce Reynolds Service Center, Greensboro, NC
(1405 Westover Terrace, Greensboro, NC 27408)
Sunday:    Cherokee Scout Reservation, Yanceyville, NC

WHO MAY ATTEND:  Any registered Adult BSA Leader. This course certifies you as an NRA instructor. Your Instructor certification does allow you to take a troop to an approved range and sign off as a merit badge counselor for rifle or shotgun merit badges as long as you register as a BSA Merit Badge Counselor. However, you must also have an NRA Range Safety Officer supervise the range shooting activity with you.  You will have the opportunity, at the end of the weekend, to sign-up for the Range Safety Officer course.

NRA PRE-QUALIFICATIONS:  To determine your skill set level, a score of at least 80% must be achieved on a pre-qualification practical exercise test prior to completion of the course. This score is not hard to achieve if you have any previous shooting experience.

Prices do not include NRA membership fees or fees associated with each discipline to be an instructor.

The fees due to the NRA to be registered as an instructor are your financial responsibility. You must pay these fees in order to teach as an NRA Instructor.  Upon completion of your course, you will be directed to pay online directly to the NRA.
