Cub Scout STEM Quest is Back!

SAVE THE DATE! March 10, 2018  $10 per youth. Elementary-age boys and girls welcome!

Cub Scout STEM Quest is an awesome opportunity for registered Cub Scouts to complete requirements for either a Cub Scout Nova Award or a STEM-related Adventure that will help them on the path to their next rank!

Not a Cub Scout? That’s okay! Boys who are rising 1-5 graders who are not Cub Scouts yet (but would like to join) will be invited to our Bobcat station where they can work toward requirements for the Bobcat badge and register with a Cub Scout pack! Other STEM activities will be available for these boys to participate in after they complete the Bobcat station. Elementary age girls are also welcome to join in the fun!

Cub Scout STEM Quest will be held on March 10, 2018 at Guilford Technical Community College from 8:30 am to noon.  Online registration will open in late January, 2018. Stay tuned!

Scout Family Fun Night with the Swarm

All units are invited to enjoy Greensboro’s newest professional sports team on January 19, 2018 as the NBA G-League Greensboro Swarm takes on the Toronto 905 at the Greensboro Coliseum Fieldhouse.  Tipoff is 7:00 pm and your whole family will enjoy being on top of the action with no seat more than twelve rows from the floor.

Group seating is available for units to participate in viewing the exciting rematch between the Swarm and 905 from their December tilt.  In December’s match the Swarm came from 11 down in the fourth quarter to defeat the 905 in overtime 107-106.  This return game should be exciting.

If your unit is not making this a winter activity families may still take advantage of the group tickets and join in the fun.  A commemorative patch will be given to all that purchase tickets using the order form here or by calling Brandon Rothfuss with the Swarm at 336-907-3607.

Units that sign up early may have the opportunity to participate in some on-court experiences such as the High 5 Squad, Anthem Buddies, Chalk Talk and others.

New this year are comfortable seats in the Outer Club sections that offer seat backs as well as bench seating.

Last season we had more than 400 scouts participate and we would love to beat that number.  Unit leaders we encourage your making this a January activity for your families.

For more information call Mr. Rothfuss or email him at brothfuss@gsoswarm.com.  Featured this season are Cat Barber and Terry Henderson from NC State, Archie Goodwin from Kentucky, Marcus Paige from North Carolina and Coron Williams from Wake Forest.  Defending G-League Champion 905 features Lorenzo Brown from NC State and Kennedy Meeks from North Carolina.  The 905 are coached by Jerry Stackhouse of North Carolina.
