Cub Scout Fun Day Saturday, August 11!

Cub Scout Fun Day Saturday, August 11 at Woodfield Scout Preservation, Asheboro

We hope all Cub Scouts, family, and friends will be joining us this Saturday for a fun-filled day of swimming, climbing, archery and bb shooting, plus complete the Bobcat Challenge!  The fee to attend is only $5 per person.  There will be a Trading Post open for snacks but you may also bring a cooler and food.    For questions contact Jason Powers at 336-880-8785 or jason.powers@scouting.org.

Promote the Wonderful Family Programs of Scouting!

Our multi-media marketing continues. Just in time for elementary school sign-up nights and community recruitment events, we now have two BSA “Scout Me In!” billboards (featuring excited youth)!  One is located at 430 Eugene Street as you travel toward downtown Greensboro and the second is located in midtown Greensboro on Battleground Avenue.  The billboards will remain posted through October 31. If you are traveling around Greensboro, be sure to check it out.    Thank you to Tom Poe of Fairway Advertising and to Rhino Outdoor for donating the billboard space to promote Scouting!

Updating Unit BeAScout Pins Via My.Scouting

Attention Units, as we are fast approaching Cub Scout recruitment time, the BeAScout website is being heavily promoted.  It is crucial that you update your unit's pin in my.scouting so all of those potential Cub Scout families can find you.  Please let us know if you need assistance with this.   A quick video tutorial has been created and is now available on the BSA National Communications YouTube channel.

Thank you to the many volunteers that work to promote family Scouting.  We are excited about the new youth and volunteer leaders we will serve this fall!
