International Scouting Update

The largest and most well-known of the three World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) campsites, Switzerland’s Kandersteg International Scout Centre, has been hit by Covid travel restrictions and closed to international travelers until possibly early 2022.

They presently have limited staff and won’t make any decisions about re-opening until August 2021.

For this and other news…

Donate to Scouting Today!

During the pandemic, Scouting provided so many quality moments for families at home. Our program helped Scouts overcome the challenges of uncertainty, isolation & boredom. Scouting is needed more than ever! Will you help our young people?

COVID-19 prevention measures are still impacting the ability to conduct in-person Friends of Scouting (FOS) presentations. If you haven’t had an opportunity to participate in “Friends of Scouting” this year at your Pack, Troop, Crew, or Ship meeting, please take a moment to do so now.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Cub Scout Elective Changes

Cub Scout elective Adventures are reviewed for content & popularity in an ongoing effort to keep the Cub Scout Adventure program relevant to today's families. Adventures are reviewed annually to identify trends and determine the interests of youth and Den Leaders. The most recent review has identified 19 Adventures that do not meet the expectations for participation, with the lowermost being earned by 3% of eligible youth. They will be retired effective May 31, 2022.
