Summer Extravaganza is an excellent opportunity for you and your family to spend a special weekend campout together. It’s a time to get to know each other in more meaningful ways through outdoor activities that Scouting  provides. Share summer fun with other families as we celebrate our declaration of independence anniversary.

Who can Come: This is a family event. Enjoy the weekend with your family, or just a parent and scout, whichever you desire. Activities will be provided to encourage parent/youth participation. Staff will be present to help guide you through the activities and celebration of the weekend.

When &Where: This year’s event will be July 5—7, 2019 located at Camp Woodfield (491 Woodfield Scout Trail, Asheboro NC 27203). Families are welcome to camp on Friday night through Sunday morning. Gate will open at 5:00pm on Friday and 7:00—9:00am on Saturday. Directions are provided at

Check-In: Each couple/family will be required to check-in at the HQ building before entering camp. If you wish to camp on Friday, Check-in will start at 5:00pm.
