The last date for registration has passed.

A charter bus will depart the Council office for the Jamboree on Saturday, July 27. We have 18 total seats still open on the charter bus. Please note: a)youth under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/grandparent/guardian that is a registered BSA volunteer; or b) the unit of the registered youth must provide two-deep leadership for all Scouts it is taking responsibility for on this trip. Either a) or b) must be met in order for youth to participate.

Any unit wishing to send more than 5 total representatives (youth and adults combined) to visit the 2019 World Scout Jamboree is requested to secure its own transportation. This way, the charter bus can serve youth and adults representing more units throughout the Council. Thank you for your assistance with these matters. We look forward to a great experience this summer visiting the 2019 World Scout Jamboree!

Registration deadline is May 30, or when the 50 seats are filled.

This special event and round-trip charter bus transportation is an opportunity extended to the Scouts and registered adult volunteer leaders of the Old North State Council.

  • The cost will be as follows: $85 per person over age 13; Please note that all scouts must have their parent/guardian attend the trip with them.  $70 per youth ages 6-13;  $40 (charter bus fee only) for youth under 6. Youth under 6 are free at the Jamboree.
  • Complete Scouting uniform is the appropriate attire for this event.
  • The Council office will provide light breakfast refreshments traveling to the Summit in the morning and heavier refreshments (to serve as dinner) on our return trip home that same day.
  • We will depart the Council office parking lot (located at 1405 Westover Terrace, Greensboro, NC 27408) at 7:30am sharp on Saturday, July 27 with a return time of 9:30pm that same day at the Council office parking lot. The Council office is located behind a fire station and directly next to Lucky 32 restaurant.
  • Scouts and registered adult leaders will be on their own for food and activities while attending the World Scout Jamboree.
  • When visitation hours close for the day at 5:00pm, all will return to our charter bus for departure no later than 5:20pm.
  • We will set an exact location to load the charter bus on Saturday for our return trip to Greensboro.
  • It will be a long day but provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
  • Keep in mind the only driving that participants will be responsible for is between their homes and the Council office in Greensboro.

If you are unable to attend the Council-organized visitation day on Saturday, July 27, we encourage you and your family to select another day and visit this wonderful event. Click here to read more about visiting the 2019 World Jamboree
