We are very excited to say that will be holding a Wood Badge course this fall in this most unusual year. Currently, North Carolina is in Phase 2.5 which will limit our numbers. This means our course will be smaller than normal to meet the requirements of Phase 2.5 and anyone that signs up past our maximum number will be put on the waiting list for 2020. There is a possibility we will move out of Phase 2.5 prior to the course and if that’s the case we will be able to increase the number of people who can participate. If not, we will be holding another Wood Badge course next fall for those who want the best leadership training offered by the BSA.

Course Overview

Wood Badge is a course for all Registered Scout leaders from Packs, Troops, Crews, and Ships as well as Council and District leaders.  Its focus is on leadership, emphasizing modern leadership skills. Regardless of whether you are a new scout leader or a seasoned volunteer, you will learn to be a more effective leader in any position you hold in scouting.

Wood Badge is considered by many as a peak experience in their Scouting careers.  Wood Badge leaders have affected the lives of millions of America’s youth.  All units deserve the best-trained leaders

The cost of the course is $225 and includes a course hat, neckerchief, printed materials, and food for the weekend #1.  Participants will purchase food for the weekend #2.

An $85 deposit is required to reserve your spot on the course, and the final payment due by September 1, 2020.
